Who we are

NR Education is a trading name of NR & CO Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 08467590). Our registered office is Unit G-3, 129 Mile End Road, London E1 4BG. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. What information we collect

When you contact us, usually over WhatsApp and sometimes by email, we collect:

Your name, phone number and WhatsApp profile details.
What you tell us in your messages: typically your educational background, work history, residency status, and the courses and funding you are interested in.
If you go on to apply with our help: the details needed for a university or Student Finance application, such as qualifications, personal statement drafts and supporting documents you send us.

We only ask for what an application actually needs, and we do not ask you to send identity documents over WhatsApp unless an application requires them and you are comfortable doing so.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry and tell you what your options are.
To check your eligibility for courses and Student Finance.
To prepare and submit applications on your behalf, with your agreement.
To follow up on an enquiry or application you have started with us.

Our lawful bases under UK data protection law are: taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you (handling your enquiry and applications), and our legitimate interest in running the service. Where we rely on your consent, for example when submitting an application containing your details, you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we will not add you to any marketing list.

Our service runs over WhatsApp, which is provided by WhatsApp Ireland / Meta. Messages between you and us are end-to-end encrypted, but WhatsApp processes information about your account and usage under its own privacy policy, which may involve transfers outside the UK under Meta's safeguards. Who we share it with

Universities and UCAS: only the information an application needs, and only with your agreement.
Student Finance England: only as part of a funding application you have asked us to help with.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an application: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
If we help you apply: kept while we are supporting you, then deleted within 24 months of your course starting or the application closing, in case follow-up is needed.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: see a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or send it to you or someone else in a usable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
